A haori in a rich fabric. A kimono with a print that instantly catches the eye. Our Japanese Originals from Tokyo give your store a character all of its own. Have you tried them in your collection yet?
For centuries, kimonos were everyday wear in Japan. The straight shape is wrapped around the body and secured with an obi. The prints tell their own story: from flowers and birds to motifs that refer to a season or a wish. In our kimono selection you will find all kinds of fabrics and patterns, sometimes even silk.
A haori is a traditional Japanese jacket worn open over a kimono. It was originally part of formal menswear. In nineteenth-century Edo, today's Tokyo, female entertainers adopted the haori as a stylish extra layer over their kimono. Take a look at the lining too: some haoris hide a surprising pattern inside. Have you spotted them yet? Browse our haoris.
The undergarments are special as well. A juban was worn under the kimono and helped keep the outer garment clean. Our Japanese undergarments are often made of cotton and can include koshimaki and hadajuban.
Give them a rail of their own, combine them with familiar vintage favourites or create a standout corner. These Japanese pieces are real eye-catchers and instantly bring a new story into your store. You buy them by the kilo; every lot has its own mix.
Besides clothing, we also sell other original Japanese products, such as Japanese dolls and kokeshi dolls. Interested in buying? Email us at [email protected].
